Description

I helped a user during a support session yesterday figure out why the icons in the Social Media Menu were not displaying on his site. When I sent him a link to the theme demo to the Natural theme to show him what the icons look like and where to find them, his browser didn't display the icons on the theme demo either. I asked him if he had the AdBlocker installed on his browser (Chrome), and when he said yes, I had him disable it to see if that fixed the issue. It did -- he was able to see the social icons on his website and as well as those on the theme demo.

I know that we've discussed this internally many times over the years, so it's a Known Issue. I don't know if we want to fix this, especially since it doesn't seem to be consistent across users or browsers -- this is the first time I've encountered it in months, and now I can't even replicate it using the same theme and browser that the user had. But I wanted to note this here should we find more user reports, since it's definitely leading to user confusion when it does occur.

Research direction

Start by testing the Natural theme demo with Chrome and AdBlocker enabled, comparing icon visibility with the extension disabled. The issue names no source files or tests; done would require a reproducible case and an agreed scope for addressing or documenting the known behavior.
