### How

The automated Lighthouse reports that accompany the emails that advertise Jetpack Boost cause unnecessary anxiety for website owners. The scores are meaningless, especially when they apply to a single page only or when they give no indication of which page or pages the score listed in the email relates to.

This email is nothing but scareware issued in attempt to frighten site owners to install Jetpack Boost. Very similar to the 'Your computer is infected with malware' ads shown on some websites.

Stop sending these unsolicited emails to Jetpack users or provide a way for site owners and developers to disable them. Either way, Jetpack / Automattic owes Jetpack users an immediate apology for the distress caused by these emails.

This is not the first time Jetpack has sent scareware email to Jetpack users. The last time this happened we were sent messages from Jetpack Protect telling us about non existent malware installed in our websites whereas the actual issue detected was an out of date plugin or inactive plugin or inactive theme etc...

This type of behaviour by Jetpack / Automattic will deter WordPress site owners from using Jetpack and related products. It must stop.

Now I'm not particularly litigious but if I receive too many more of these emails or if they negatively affect my business I could be persuaded to join an action on this matter.
