Description

### Impacted plugin

Jetpack, Protect

### What

Configuration of the Email Digest Recipient

### How

I want to use Jetpack Protect and Jetpack's built in security features in more of the websites I manage. I like the product but there are some missing features such as the slow vulnerabilities check rescan time and the lack of ability to configure the scan time / frequency but the biggest problem I have is that I cannot configure the email address to which Jetpack protect sends monthly digest emails.

I would be happy for Jetpack to send digest emails to the site's configured administration email address (Settings > General) provided the digest email clearly showed that Jetpack did not run the updates (or even stated which administrator initiated the updates) and provided Jetpack initiated vulnerability scans immediately a software change occurs.

Is there a way to configure either Jetpack or Jetpack Protect to ignore the site's Administrator Email Address and instead send mail to another configured email address? If there is a way to do that can you let me know how to do it. If there is not, can you add a field to the settings pages used by both Jetpack and Jetpack Protect that allows site admins to easily set where those emails go.

Thank you.

Research direction

The issue names Jetpack Protect's monthly digest emails and the Jetpack and Protect settings pages, but no files or tests. Start by locating the digest recipient configuration and settings entry points; done means site administrators can set another recipient address and the monthly digest uses it while preserving clear update attribution.
