Description

I think this is self explanatory. This would help people who want to post two different content. Lets say, for example, their blog is like a journal / public diary. They use the default post type for that but they also want to write movie reviews and they want those movie reviews to be in the reader too but it makes more sense for the movie reviews to be a custom post type than to be lumbered in with the diary.

After asking your support, they say this is currently not possible. But I think many people would benefit from this feature.

Research direction

The issue requests that WordPress custom post types appear in the Reader, but it names no files, tests, or entry points. First identify how Jetpack Reader currently selects and displays post types, then clarify the supported post types and expected behavior. Done means an agreed implementation scope and coverage showing eligible custom post types in the Reader.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
