Description
>The comment icon tracks correctly the number of comments. But it is also visible only when I click on an image to go full screen...I was wondering if we should show a small circle with a number on it on the photo itself, to let the user know there are new comments on that image.
It could be worth looking into some kind of notification that there are comments on photos in a gallery before clicking into the gallery.
Suggested during internal testing: p8oabR-GM-p2#comment-5386

Research direction
Begin by reproducing the gallery flow and inspecting the existing comment icon behavior before full-screen opening. Done means a clear notification that comments exist, including their number when applicable, is visible on the photo or gallery before the carousel opens. The issue names no files or tests.
