Description

In a YouTube video I heard this mistake, which I've been hearing in the last few years I think from millennial and younger native English speakers:

> Uh, it says, uh, 192 wheelpower, 182 torque. I think some of those ponies have escaped throughout the years.

I asked an AI to put into words what my intuition is telling me is wrong:

> The issue: Using "throughout" implies an action happening continuously in every part of a time period or space. In this context, "over the years" or "through the years" is standard to denote duration or the passing of time.

Research direction

No source file or test is named in the report. Start by reproducing the “escaped throughout the years” example and locating the existing grammar-rule entry point for phrase-level usage; done means the intended alternatives are accepted and this use of “throughout” is flagged.
