Description

"Ascribe" means to attribute or something to a source. Subscribe means to agree with a theory or sign up for a service.

Examples I've come across on Hacker News and YouTube:
>- I assume you don't **ascribe** to the thought that friction leads to growth.
>- Christian scientists have gotten into legal jams all over the world for refusing to provide medicine to sick members. And today, not all of them **ascribe** to this most controversial practice.

Research direction

The issue names no file or test. Start by running Harper on the two quoted examples and locate the relevant grammar-rule entry point. Done means the incorrect uses of “ascribe” are flagged as “subscribe,” while valid uses of “ascribe” remain accepted.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
