Need a .pot up to date

Can we have a regular pot. to make sure everything is up to date
If I check the fr.mo file I have +3000 strings - incredible
if I use makepot.php I get 80 strings - something missing

Start by comparing the 3,000+ strings reported in fr.mo with the 80 strings produced by makepot.php. Inspect how makepot.php finds translation strings and determine what is missing from its output. Done means the generated .pot is up to date and includes the expected strings for regular use.
