Discussion for future improvement: Category URLs, archive pages, and "Full Template Support"

We often get this type of question:

> I was wondering if it’s possible to create a URL for a specific category of jobs. For example to show Full-time jobs, “jobsite.com/find-a-job/full-time”

We have this document that we send to people:

However, I have problems with this document. First, it's not clear that this is what people want to use when they want to fix their URLs. Next, why do we even have them do this in the first place? Is there a technical reason as to why we can't have the URLs and the archive pages working out of the box? If there is, could we maybe implement a checkbox option somewhere instead? Also note that when I try this on my test site running Twenty Seventeen, things break in unexpected ways.

So, this issue is meant as a starting point for discussion on how we can make the whole process simpler for our users.
