Description

### Enhancement Description

Every project that has to comply with COBie 2.4 and COBie 3.0 in IFC has to deliver information like warranty start dates and warranty periods. It seems as though Revit doesn't support these data types. Now that IDS is increasingly being used, the incorrect data type is showing up on checks.

### Revit Version

2026.0.x

### IFC for Revit Addon Version

26.1.0

### Windows Version

11 24H2

Research direction

The issue names COBie 2.4 and 3.0, IFC, IDS, Revit 2026, and the IFC for Revit addon 26.1.0, but no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating existing IFC date and duration type handling and checking how IDS validation represents them. Done means both IfcDate and IfcDuration are supported with the correct types in relevant checks.
