Description
We have a requirement from a customer where a client is requesting all parts of a steel connection to be exporting as IfcMember. It seems we cannot currently override the class for a Revit plate and it's always exported as an IfcPlate.
Question: Does anyone have similar requirements? From your point of view, does it make sense to export Revit Plates as IfcMember?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First clarify whether Revit plates must be configurable as IfcMember rather than always exported as IfcPlate, then define the expected IFC output and acceptance cases before implementation.
