Create 'Group' upon import

I see the exporter creates IFCGroups from Revit Groups.

Would it be possible to recreate these Revit Groups upon import of this same IFC?

Start with the linked Groups testing files and compare the IFCGroups produced from Revit Groups with the result of importing that IFC. Trace the import path responsible for handling groups, then verify that the imported model recreates the original Revit Groups using the supplied test files.
