Description

Hi,

We have been having some issues when adjusting layouts in MayaUsd. When adjusting a prim position in Maya the pivot is incorrectly calculated and the resulting transform is broken.

It's easy to demonstrate in a video - [https://www.dropbox.com/s/vt7cs4mcwwh8i01/mayaUsdTransformBug.mp4?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/vt7cs4mcwwh8i01/mayaUsdTransformBug.mp4?dl=0)

I've made a simplified version of the asset that I can share - [https://www.dropbox.com/s/87frbbehn07kv77/mayaUsdTransformBug_assets.zip?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/87frbbehn07kv77/mayaUsdTransformBug_assets.zip?dl=0)

It contains a table and plate asset, which are referenced into - assets/furniture/tableLayout/tableLayout.usda

If you load that into MayaUsd you will see the same behaviour. As mentioned in the video I think this is something to do with MayaUsd not calculating or appending to the xform stack correctly.

It would be awesome if someone could take a look at it for us. As it would be great if MayaUsd could play nice with all of our Usd assets. In this case we just wanted to tweak the layout of the table on a per shot basis which became way more complicated that it should have been.

Specs :
macOS 12.0.1
Maya 2023.2
MayaUsd 0.21.0
