Apply colour to generic colourless ship icon and reduce duplication in ships

Currently we have a png for every ship in every colour. If we could apply the colour to an uncoloured template, or use multiple layers of the same image (similar to the frames of a gif? Not my area of expertise, if I have one) we could hugely reduce the number of assets to keep track of. This would also make adding new colours easier.
