Have Permissions but its not accepting camera image in Lollipop and below

I have the permissions needed and it works in API 22 and above but anything lower where it doesn't specifically ask the user about permissions it tells me this:

"Could not find method com.theartofdev.edmodo.cropper.CropImageActivity.requestPermissions, referenced from method com.theartofdev.edmodo.cropper.CropImageActivity.onActivityResult"

It doesn't even give me a red error, that above is in white and I found it by chance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
