Description
An student had a new laptop win win10 today, most likely with some older FTDI drivers.
Fresh installed APM planner, on connection attempt, APM planner crashed (it actually did) - it appears to user as if AP2 crashed, and is to blame, but the fault was that he had no, or older FTDI driver. - as windows displayed a WHQL error in the background.
upgrading the driver solved the problem.
Bad first impression, maybe this crash can be avoided so the WHQL driver error is clear cause, and solution ?

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named. First reproduce the connection attempt on Windows 10 with no or older FTDI drivers and observe the AP2 crash alongside the WHQL warning. Done means the driver problem is presented clearly instead of making APM Planner appear to crash.
