Description
Just before takeoff, I would like to be a able to press a button and have mission planner start a new .tlog. Currently I have to disconnect/reconnect which can sometimes take a long time depending on whether the parameters load quickly. Otherwise I end up with very log tlogs mostly of ground time. If I jump ahead in the tlog, I often miss the part when the flight plan was read into MP, so I have to play through the whole beginning to see the plan displayed on the map. Maybe there could be a faster way to extract the flight plan?
I'd also like a way to restart the data flash logs without rebooting, but that's not a MP request.
Thank you

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by tracing Mission Planner’s tlog recording and disconnect/reconnect flow, then identify the UI connection command involved; done means a button can start a fresh tlog without disconnecting and preserves the expected flight-plan display behavior.
