Description

Hey,
I'm using Mission Planner for a few weeks now and repentantly run into the problem that the map data isn't aligned with the real world.

So I have my copter sitting in a fixed, open field position with NTRIP enabled an provided by the SAPOS service of the state of Lower Saxony and a HDOP of < 1.0 (mostly 0.5 - 0.8).

When looking at the Data / Planner map with Gmaps hybrid or Bing hybrid chosen, I can clearly see an offset of the position displayed on the particular map and the real world position of multiple meters.

Therefor I want to request a possibility to "realign the map to the real world" so when planning a mission the position chosen on the map is identical to the real world without the offset.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to express, if not please ask.

Thanks for your work and greetings from Germany

Research direction

Start in the Data / Planner map with GMaps hybrid or Bing hybrid selected and reproduce the reported multi-meter offset using the described fixed-field and NTRIP setup. Determine how a user-supplied realignment should affect mission-planning positions and define acceptance criteria for matching the real-world reference.
