Unable to display logs "too large"

First I get an message about the log being loo large, and will be displayed without the grid.
Then the attached error.
needless to say, the logs are not very big, I get this with any log.
Updated stable, and beta.


Reproduce the log display failure described in the issue, using both stable and beta builds if available, and compare the result with the attached screenshot. Trace the path used to display any log, including the fallback for logs reported as too large. Done means ordinary logs display successfully without the error.
