Description

#### Issue details
I go to the Compass Calibration tab. Plane is not armed but on. I have a 3D GPS fix. I can see my external compass, and it is set to Priority 1.

When I hit Start in Onboard Mag Calibration, nothing happens except the Accept and Cancel buttons are no longer greyed out. No tones, no percents (or anything) in the the text box to the right, no green bar appearing as I move the model.

Research direction

Start with the attached .params file and reproduce the issue in Mission Planner's Compass Calibration tab using the Plane, Matek F405-VTOL setup described. Verify what happens after clicking Start and compare it with the expected tones, percentage text, and progress bar; the issue is resolved when calibration begins and reports progress normally.
