### Bug Description
can't type after pressing ESC after writing ":then something" in linux app
### How to Reproduce
in Flatpak version, open a document, write `:foo foo` then press ESC
now start typing, it won't work...
i needed to restart the app everytime i try this...
### Expected Behavior
after pressing ESC i should be able to continue writing as usual.
