Dashboard example graph sometimes extends past edge of graph area

It happens, I believe, the first time I load it in the browser. Then when I reload it seems fine.

Trace the example's graph rendering entry point and identify the initial-load condition; done means the graph stays within its area on both the first load and subsequent reloads.
