Description
Hello, I was using this theme for quite some time and I've always had an issue of the theme not displaying correctly when I select text in a "big" textbox (ie: when editing an automation yaml). i've been trying to figure out why for some time and figured out today the following, working with GPT5:
-----
# What’s going on
Home Assistant’s frontend (and Monaco editor in the big text areas) often builds colors like:
```
rgba(var(--rgb-primary-color), 0.35)
```
So `--rgb-primary-color` must be a comma-separated RGB triple like `122, 58, 197` — not `rgb(#hex)` or `rgb(var(--primary-color)).`
----
Basic suggestion was to replace the following
```
rgb-primary-color: rgb(var(--primary-color))
rgb-accent-color: rgb(var(--accent-color))
rgb-primary-text-color: rgb(var(--primary-text-color))
rgb-secondary-text-color: rgb(var(--secondary-text-color))
rgb-text-primary-color: rgb(var(--text-primary-color))
rgb-card-background-color: rgb(var(--card-background-color))
```
With the defined rgb values
```
# --- Fix rgba(...) variables (must be numeric triples) ---
rgb-primary-color: 122, 58, 197 # from #7a3ac5 (primary40)
rgb-accent-color: 122, 58, 197 # or pick another, but keep as R,G,B
rgb-primary-text-color: 240, 240, 240 # light text in dark mode
rgb-secondary-text-color: 152, 140, 163 # neutral-ish secondary text
rgb-text-primary-color: 240, 240, 240
rgb-card-background-color: 38, 36, 39 # dark card background
```
And following this change, it's working. I did not verify colors but thought it would be nice to at least note it here. Because I seem to understand the theme is autogenerated, it might make sense to check the generator code if we want to update.
