Description
Hi there,
First time contributing here, so I'm not entirely sure how this works. Figured I could try to help out with updating the wiki for the recent Alma 10 release, so I made some changes to the Generic Cloud pages:
- add download links for each architecture of Alma 10 (though the repo.almalinux.org pp64le /almalinux/cloud/ppc64le/images/ directory is blank)
- move instructions to verify new releases (e.g. Alma 10) to the top of the 'verify' section (previously, Alma 8 was above Alma 9)
- add instructions to verify AlmaLinux 10
- update command output in documentation for older versions of AlmaLinux, incl. replacing expired example for AlmaLinux 8
- changed wording I found unclear (I got a little carried away)
My fork and branch can be found here: [https://github.com/hpst3r/alma-wiki/tree/al10](https://github.com/hpst3r/alma-wiki/tree/al10).
All of the changes made relating to validation were tested on AlmaLinux 10 and Debian 12. The `:::tip` sections relating to importing the `/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-AlmaLinux*` keys for each release were tested on their respective release (8.10, 9.6, 10.0). The project builds with the provided Containerfile.
I have a couple of questions:
- Should I add a 'last updated' timestamp to either of these pages? I did not do so as they did not already have one.
- I noticed the Generic Cloud download/validation page does not have a `lang: en-US` declaration in the frontmatter - should this be added?
- Should AlmaLinux 10 receive a link [to its x86_64_v2 Generic Cloud images](https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/10/cloud/x86_64_v2/)? How should this be displayed next to/beside plain x86_64 (v3 for Alma 10)? Would it be useful to add a brief descriptor of the difference between the x86-64-v2 and unlabeled v3+ images?
Please let me know if you would like me to make any changes, scale this back to just adding links for AlmaLinux 10 with existing style, or create a pull request.
