Description

I noticed that some people yesterday were confused that there was no neuroglancer cursor which made it hard to track where you are between 2d and 3d. this link in module 3 had axis lines turned off: https://spelunker.cave-explorer.org/#!middleauth+https://global.daf-apis.com/nglstate/api/v1/6722224001122304

I have not done a more comprehensive look at how consistent the viewer properties are across the notebooks. I think for people using neuroglancer for the first time it would be helpful if all of the links as much as possible have similar options turned on so that could be worth an audit.

Research direction

The issue identifies a Neuroglancer link in module 3 but no file path. Start by locating that link in the notebooks and inspecting its viewer settings, then compare the other notebook links for consistency. Done means the identified link and as many other links as possible provide comparable viewer options, including axis lines and a visible cursor.
