Maybe I'm missing something but I couldn't find any documentation for the seemingly useful `tag_callback` parameter. I'll happily submit a PR but wanted to check:
1. Is this library still actively maintained? Should I be looking at another fork? There are a lot of open issues and PRs...
2. Is there a reason that `tag_callback` is not documented?
