Perhaps worth mentioning in the readme/docs: the name of the pacakge to include in INSTALLED_APPS in settings.py is "'django_base64field".
As a beginning Django developer, I tried with 'django_Base64Field', 'django.Base64Field', 'Base64Field' and finally 'django_base64field' which did work.
