Demo Compatibility Questions

@p-stokes and I talked today about the compatibility requirements of the demos. Do we want to accumulate demos and ensure that they continue to work going forward? Or do we want to treat the demos as frozen artifacts that we might need to reproduce? We discussed a intermediate idea of tagging a release every demo to keep the frozen artifacts and then having a demo folder that serves the purpose of the docs with demos that we care to keep going. Does that sound good? Maybe the second option should actually be tutorial docs.
