Description

Self-explanatory. VirtualBox and VMware do not support booting IMGs as far as I know and will only boot ISOs. This looks like it would fit on a DVD, so offering VM support and ISO images would be a no brainer for those who want to try it without wiping their drives or those who don't want to try it on real hardware.

Research direction

Start by reviewing how ThoriumOS currently produces and publishes IMG images, then check the VirtualBox and VMware boot requirements described in the issue. Done means providing a bootable standard ISO-9660 image suitable for both VM applications without removing the existing image option.
