Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a field group assigned to the 'side' position
  2. Add a WYSIWYG field to the field group.
  3. Attempt to insert a link in said WYSIWYG field.

Resulting error: The link modal either appears centered on the page, doesn't appear at all, or starts flickering uncontrollably on the page.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the link insertion flow with a WYSIWYG field in a field group assigned to the 'side' position. Trace the link modal's placement and visibility in that sidebar context; done means the modal appears reliably in the correct position without flickering.
