Description

# Python code to assemble kids[] to match PDF

Not sure this is the appropriate place to ask this question -- if it isn't please point me in the right direction.

I'm using the extract API with styles. Is there python code available that will assemble kids[] text (and the text of the parent, if it exists), in the order it is displayed in the pdf. I've written a lot of code based on geometry, and it is fairly complex with edge cases. I'm hoping the folks at Adobe have already written this definitive version and can make it available. Thank you.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reviewing the Adobe Extract API documentation for styles and the kids[] structure, then determine whether an existing Python example or documented ordering behavior is requested; done would be a clear answer or a scoped documentation change.
