Currently, OpenRV has a play all frames option (by default) or a realtime option. It would be nice if the real time option showed the number of skipped frames in a HUD or somewhere in the timeline area.

Research direction
Start by reading Discussion #80 and locating the realtime playback option and the existing HUD or timeline display. Determine where skipped frames are counted during playback and how that value can be surfaced in the interface. Done means realtime playback shows the number of skipped frames in a HUD or timeline area.
