ComfyUI distorted/non colour images

I set up the plugin, and the corresponding comfyui nodes, connected fine.

However, the preview images are in colour, but the main images are black and white and often distorted as if the VAE is incorrect, tried with both SD, and XL models with corresponding VAE's

Some samplers give decent results, but there are still without colour

I enabled log errors to file, but I cannot see anything that is obviously wrong: https://pastebin.com/KUFt7hQe

Any help would be appreciated
