Description
Currently, the explanatory NURBS figures on our "NURBS in ARTIST" docs page are generated with a tool provided by Yu-Sung Chang (2007), "B-Spline Curve with Knots" [Wolfram Demonstrations Project](https://demonstrations.wolfram.com/BSplineCurveWithKnots/). While this is a nice tool to explore how the different NURBS parameters affect a NURBS curve, the quality of the resulting figures is not great.
We should consider plotting our own NURBS figures from scratch.

Research direction
Start by locating the “NURBS in ARTIST” documentation page and reviewing the existing figures and their references to the Wolfram Demonstration. Determine what figures and NURBS parameters the page needs, then replace the external-tool figures with higher-quality figures generated from scratch; done means the documentation no longer depends on those figures.
