initialize or export selected target only?

Description
All mbed-os files have considerable 1GB size while, typically, mbed developer needs selected target files only without all the tests.
I have been looking for an option to either initialize (new) or copy (export?) selected target only without tests to reduce local working repository size. Is this supported?
If not, I suggest adding such feature.
