Description

My use case might be a bit odd. Might be a stretch, even.

I have the server running and have added a folder containing a mix of subfolders and mp3/flac files within them.
I added it as a WebDAV source in Foobar2000's media library since Foobar2000 can index it directly.

I'm wondering if it's possible to force on-the-fly transcoding of flac files to Opus on copyparty's config, so that when Foobar tries to load a file, copyparty can provide the transcoded version instead.

Whenever Foobar2000 queues a specific file. It has no trouble streaming the files as they are, but the data consumption for the FLAC files might add up quickly.

Perhaps using some hooks that trigger a transcode with ffmpeg if a specific "user" requests a flac file? I'll read about the hooks to see if it's even possible. Or I guess I can just load the web version instead of opening a file directly in foobar

Does this make any sense at all?
