flatpak on host requirement not documented?

`distrobox-host-exec` requires Flatpak to be installed on the host, otherwise it fails silently with no indication of what's wrong:

However, AFAICT this requirement is not mentioned anywhere. Even `host-spawn`'s README doesn't make it particularly clear that it uses Flatpak.
Am I missing something here? Is this somehow obvious? Is it actually mentioned somewhere that I missed?
