Plugging in the controller causes guide lights 1 and 4 to light up with 2 and 3 after. The lights only stay on for 1 second)

The controller does not appear in the preference pane, and when I go to advanced and press enable driver, after a few seconds an error appears stating the following:

The driver has failed to load due to an unknown error, code: -603947007. Please report this error to the driver maintainer.
