Can somone help me setup the pagination part?

Im not very familiar with jquery... I do know some basic javascript. I ve tried using another pagination plugin (simplepagination) ..that was great for getting my results from DB in pages, but there i had a problem adding checkbox and filters. So i stumbled onto this plugin...only problem is im not getting it setup right? some example codepens are not working....i followed the guides on the jplist website but thats not working either???What am i doing wrong? (pls tell me whta files to put where and what links...)
