Custom Range-slider - apply event

Is there a way to use a custom Range slider like for example ion.rangeSlider and have an apply filter event that would trigger the list filtering. Or simply is there an overall apply filter event that enables you to set the filters and then hit a button to trigger the filter event.

Look at the jplist-es6 source to understand how filtering events are triggered and how custom UI components can integrate. Check if there's an existing event system or plugin architecture. Determine what changes are needed to support an external range slider like ion.rangeSlider and a manual apply button.
