Description
Currently the MCP integration works only over process fork and stdin/stdout. It would be great to be able to connect to a remote MCP server via SSE or WS natively.

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests; start by locating the MCP integration and the transport code currently handling process fork with stdin/stdout. Trace how a server connection is configured, then determine the project’s expected behavior for remote SSE and WS connections. Done means the CLI can connect to remote MCP servers through both requested transports.
