YouTube Delaying Video Buffering

Hi, YouTube appears to be deliberately delaying videos from buffering, my workaround is to click on any video from the recommendations below the main video, once the page starts to load, click back on the browser and the video loads. Heck of a way to load a video - Is there anything that can be done
