doesn't show if i have a new documentation update

**Describe the bug**
the gui doesn't show if i have the latest documentation or if there's an update available. i have had no updates since few months. as a result i have to choose no internet to access the older documentation.


**Expected behavior**
it should at least display if i have the latest version.

**You have a solution?**
absolutely i do not.
